Paul Marcus Wines + Bellanico
|

On Monday, March 22nd, we welcome Angelo Ferrio from his family estate, Cascina Ca' Rossa, in Piemonte. Angelo is one of the top producers in the Roero region, just across the river from Barolo and Barbaresco. His Roero 'Audinaggio' (single vineyard nebbiolo) regularly receives Tre Bicchieri, the top award from Italy's most important wine guide. His Langhe Nebbiolo is probably the best value everyday nebbiolo in Piemonte. His Roero Arneis is a model of Piemonte's most famous white wine. And his Birbét is PMW's best-selling sparkling red dessert wine!
(For a description of the Roero and its wines, read our June 2005 newsletter articles "Discovering the Roero: Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Birbét" and "Travels in the Roero").
We'll drink six of Angelo's wines, eat some great food prepared especially for them, and enjoy an evening of Roero-style conviviality. Angelo is famous all over the Italian wine-drinking world for his exceptional wines, as well as for his generous spirit and unique laugh. So come join in the fun!
